Buddha Mandala Monastery and Retreat Centre
A 55 acres farmland that is situated in the suburb of Perth. It is an hour's drive or about 75km away from the City of Perth. It will be constructed into a monastery and retreat centre.
The new monastery will sit on this exquisite prairie, surrounded by lushy vegetation and beautiful scenery . The captivating ambience and blue sky is more suitable location for a retreat centre.
The construction will commence in 2007. The building will be simple, traditional, yet dignified. The temple hall will accommodate a 21 feet or 7 metre high White Jade Buddha, giving the place the symbolism of Bodhisattva, Arahant and Triple Gem. Activities such as meditation, eight precepts retreat and short term renunciation etc, will be conducted there upon completion of the monastery and centre in 2009.
Meditation raises one's life quality besides developing one's wisdom and compassion. The monastery and meditation will allow people to be in tune with the nature. This helps to purify the body and mind. This is the very foundation of the spiritual quality in our existence.
